THE BOARD OF ARCHITECTS OF QUEENSLAND

The Board of Architects of Queensland is a statutory authority established under the Architects Act 2002.

The Architects Act 2002 provides for the registration of appropriately qualified persons as architects.

The Board has powers to investigate complaints made about registered architects in specified circumstances and lay charges if necessary before the Commercial and Consumer Tribunal.

The Architects Act 2002 also gives the Board powers to prosecute persons who use the title "architect" or "registered architect" or who hold out that they are architects when they are not registered as such and the Architects Act 2002 provides severe penalties for "holding out" offences.
